Luise Wolff, age 80, passed away on March 5, 2024.

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Luise Wolff will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024, in The Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home. Luise Karoline Weber Wolff was born in Frauenstein-Wiesbaden, Germany to Nikolaus Weber and Katharina Müller on March 13, 1943.  Luise was the youngest of six children.  Her father died when Luise was only two years old.  Her mother raised all six children as a single parent.

Luise met her husband-to-be, Charles, while he was in the Air Force stationed in Germany.  They dated until Charles was discharged and sent back to the States.  After about six months apart, Charles wrote to Luise asking her to marry him.  Luise traveled by ship to the United States and arrived in October 1962, two weeks before her wedding.   Luise knew very little English and no one except for Charles.  She was a very brave woman.

Charles and Luise married on October 20, 1962.  They lived in Central Texas, finally settling in Georgetown in 1974.  Charles and Luise raised four kids.  When the youngest, Charlie, started kindergarten, Luise began working for Georgetown ISD in the cafeteria.  Luise was a "Lunchroom Lady," for 27 years working at Westside / Carver Elementary School.  After her retirement, Luise continued working as a substitute at The Village Elementary School.  Luise made wonderful friends while working. The Lunchroom Ladies would meet regularly for lunch or coffee throughout Luise's retirement.  Luise cherished the friendship of these women until her death.

Luise enjoyed country/western dancing with her husband on weekends.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially playing dominoes and card games.  Luise spent many hours crocheting baby blankets for friends and family.  She loved having company and many parties were had at the family home in Georgetown.  Luise was an excellent cook.  One of Luise's favorite traditions was Cookie Weekend.  Right before Christmas, Friday-Sunday, her children and grandchildren gathered together at her home and made Christmas cookies. Reflecting on her German roots, cookie favorites were Feine Nussplätzchen, Schwarz-Gebläck, and Terrassen.

Luise is survived by her children: Karen (husband Dewayne) Curtice, Heidi (husband Sean Sr.) Kypke, Tina (husband Michael) Gaines, and Charles K. (Charlie) Wolff. Luise has six grandchildren: Megan (husband Trey) Berry, Sean Kypke Jr., Katie Kypke, William Gaines, Jacob Gaines, and Elizabeth Curtice.  Luise is also survived by her sister Irmgard Neighbors, brother Paul Weber (wife Christa), sisters-in-law Patricia Estep (husband Daniel), Inge Weber, Jeannette Weber, and Rubye Tunnel; and brothers-in-law Herbert Wolff (wife Pat) and Bob Jones; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Luise is preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Wolff; sister Magdelena (Leni) Jones; brothers Willie Weber and Carl Weber; and brother-in-law Jimmy Wolff.
