Luis Montes Benitez, 82, of Mexico, passed away on May 27, 2026 in Round Rock, Texas.

A Visitation with refreshments will be taking place from 4pm to 8pm on June 2nd, 2026 at Ramsey Funeral Home.

Luis Montes Benitez was born in Mexico to Quintin Montes & Guadalupe Benitez on January 20, 1944.

He went to school in Mexico. He married Anita Navarrete on February 16, 1964 in Mexico. He worked as a Farming Agriculture Entrepreneur.

Luis is preceded in death by his father, Quintin Montes, his mother, Guadalupe Benitez, his sisters Margarita, Austreberta, and Agripina Benitez, and his great-grandson, Aedan Rodriguez. 

Luis is survived by his wife, Anita Navarrete Montes, his children and their spouses, Olga Montes, Guadalupe Montes y Cesar Vargas, Bertha Montes & Donald Garcia, Gustavo Montes & Carmen Montes, Romelia Montes & Ramiro Solorzano, Jose Luis Montes, Reina Montes & Joel Chavez, Efrain Montes & Siria Montes, and Ana Montes & Sam. He is also survived by his sister, Porifira Montes, his grandchildren Rene, Antelmo, Max, Mateo, Diana, Jaime, Cesar, Conchita, David, Jackie, Euridica, Jesus, Anamaria, Gustavo Jr., Ricardo, Lizbeth, Ramiro, Eddie, Daisy, Luis Angel, Carlos, Macario, Michelle, Sammy, Nancy, Brian, Mia, Mar, Ivan, and Cielo, and 24 great-grandchildren. 

His pallbearers will be Efrain, Gustavo, Jose Luis, David, Jaime, Rene, Ivan, and Xavier.
