Leary Lentz, age 79, passed away on May 26, 2024. Leary was born in Clarkton, MO to Milious Lentz and Reba Moore.

Leary was an accomplished athlete, playing basketball at the University of Houston, and had a short professional basketball career.  He loved the game of golf, was an excellent bowler, and loved fishing with his boys.

On moving to Sun City, he met Joyce Hufford and they enjoyed travel, golfing together, bowling and even some ballroom dancing.  His many friends that he met while living here will miss his gentle and kind spirit and his happy smile.

Survivors include sons, Chris Lentz and his wife Becky; their children Ryan and Riley; son, Robbie Lentz and his wife Leslie; their children Caden and Cole; ex-wife, Kay Lentz and her husband Dan; brother, Steve and his wife Martha.

A Celebration of Life for Leary Lentz will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, in The Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home with Rev. Jim McLendon officiating. The family also invites you to join them for continued fellowship and refreshments, following the service, in The Reception Hall of Ramsey Funeral Home.
