Obituary

Kenneth Morris Funderburgh, 90, passed away on February 4th, 2026 in Georgetown, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 14th, 2026 at Ramsey Funeral Home with Brett Levy of City Church officiating. A reception will follow at Water Oak Amenity Center, located at 1001 Highwater Drive, Georgetown, Texas, 78628. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream is available here .

Kenneth was born in McKinney, Texas to Alva Kirby Funderburgh and Lydia Mae Moore on July 29, 1935. He was a graduate of Georgewest High School. He went to the University of Corpus Christi on a football scholarship and then transferred to Southwest Texas University on a basketball scholarship. He married Shirley Jean Baring on November 27th, 1965. He worked as a Corrosion Engineer for Transcontinental Gas Pipeline for 38 years. He was a paratrooper in the United States Army and was a participant in the The Bay of Pigs invasion.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his father, Alva Kirby Funderburgh, mother Lydia Mae Moore, brothers Kirby, Billy and Bobby Funderburgh.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Shirley Funderburgh, daughter, Kevynn Keane, son, Kyle Funderburgh, son, Klayton Funderburgh, daughter, Kristen Calvert, thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, brother Don Funderburgh and his sister Martha Ann Backstrom.
