Keith Alan Aardal
January 15, 1974 – October 11, 2025
Keith Alan Aardal was born on January 15, 1974, in Downey, California, to Alan Aardal and Miriam Simmons. He grew up primarily in Whittier, California, surrounded by a large extended family and deeply influenced by his grandparents, Leo and Elsie Simmons.
At the age of 18, Keith became an EMT and later moved to Texas to continue his passion for helping others as a paramedic. After a career change, he spent ten years as an over-the-road truck driver. When his health no longer allowed him to continue driving, Keith devoted himself to caring for his family. He was a dedicated uncle to his nephew Robert, pouring his heart into helping raise him in a loving home.
After a serious kidney health scare, Keith rededicated his life to the service of Christ, returning to the faith of his youth. Through that renewed faith, he met his wife, Robin. After working up the courage to ask her on a first date, the two began a journey together that would last the next nine years. They were married on September 30, 2017, and recently celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary.
Keith was a deeply caring and sentimental man with a sharp wit and a wicked sense of humor. He was also a lifelong sports fan—devoted to the LA Dodgers, the Raiders, and the Texas Longhorns—but would happily watch any sport that gave him the chance to cheer (and yell) at the plays.
After years of chronic health challenges, a brief illness took his life. Keith fell asleep in Christ in the early hours of October 11, 2025.
He is survived by his loving wife, Robin; his brother, Kevin; sister-in-law, Candice; his nephew, Robert, and wife, Lexi, along with their newborn son, Charlie; his niece, Laci, and her husband, Konnor; and his nephew, Presley. He is also lovingly remembered by a large extended family and many dear friends, too numerous to count.
A celebration of Keith's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Austin Leander Christadelphian Hall, 600 Leander Drive, Leander, Texas.
