Kay
Lawhon
July 28, 1941 – August 18, 2024
Lynda Kay Lawhon peacefully left this earth for her eternal home on August 18, 2024. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, October 11, 2024, at The Worship Place in Sun City, Georgetown, Texas.
Kay was born on July 28, 1941, in McCamey, Texas, to Jack and Velma Hobbs. While she was an educator by vocation and held a master's degree, her passion was her family and serving others. She fought for the things that were important to her. As a wonderful friend and neighbor, she was always delivering a meal or driving someone to a doctor's appointment. She truly loved others well and served the Sun City community for 25 years.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be missed dearly by so many.
Kay is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jerry Wayne Lawhon of Georgetown, Texas. She is also survived by her three children, Blake Lawhon and wife Tracy of Mineral Wells, Texas; Nicole Krieling and husband Andy of Austin, Texas; and Ashley Lawhon and wife Ariel of Franklin, Tennessee; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Worship Place Building Fund or another organization of your choice in Kay's memory.
