Kathie Marie Powers was born in South Bend, Indiana on January 17, 1948 and went to meet her Heavenly Father December 3, 2021.  She was raised by her loving parents Ruth and George Weber. She received her Registered Nursing  Degree in 1969 and her BSN Degree from The University of Texas Arlington. She served one Year in Viet Nam as First Lt. in The United States Army.

She is survived by her husband Michael W. Powers, Daughter Deborah (Christopher) of Round Rock, Texas and son Joel D. Bright of Round Rock, Texas;  Grand-children Brandon Sweet (Kelly), Christine Sweet, Bradley Sweet, Brentley Sweet,  Allison Sweet, Aiden Bright,  and Alexander Bright; Great-grand Daughter Evelyn Sweet and Niece Channing Weber.

Later in her life she was reunited with "Dad" Rolland Thorpe and his wife Helen; Sister Sherri Moreland; Sister Vicki Hendershott, husband Paul and their families.

Kathie was preceded in death by her parents and brother Richard J. Weber.
