Judy Carolyn Owen, 82, passed away on September 4, 2024, in Georgetown, Texas.

Judy was born on January 11, 1942 in Sherman, Texas, to Charlie and Martha Hall.

After a long career working in educational support, raising a family and going to college part time, Judy graduated from the University of Texas in 1988, where she earned a bachelors degree in Education. She continued working for, and started her teaching career with Georgetown ISD where she later retired.

Judy was married to Roger Owen in 1960. The two were blessed with 2 children, Raymond & Pam.

Judy enjoyed reading her bible, studying, traveling, wildlife, teaching, meeting new people and cutting up, and most of all her church.

Judy is survived by her son, Raymond Owen and wife Christy; her daughter, Pam Metcalfe and husband Warren; her four grandchildren: Joseph Metcalfe, James Metcalfe and wife Amber, Charly Maxcy and husband Jake, and Cooper Owen and wife Kassidy;  as well as her seven great grandchildren: Dusty, Tucker, Willow, Levi, Walker, Jameson and Jones.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Owen; and her parents, Charlie and Martha Hall.

The service for Judy will be held on Friday, September 6th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made in Judy's name to Texas Baptist Childrens Home or St Judes Childrens Hospital.
