Judith Ann Vanordstrand Ferguson (Georgetown)

Judith "Judi" Ann Ferguson, 75, of Georgetown, Texas, formerly of West Des Moines, Iowa, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025 surrounded by family.
Born Judith Ann Vanordstrand in Ames, Iowa, on April 28, 1949, Judi grew up in Indianola, Iowa and graduated from Indianola High School in 1967. She married Jerry Ferguson in 1969, and together they shared 55 wonderful years.
Judi had a long and meaningful career in healthcare, working as an X-Ray Technician, Radiation Therapist, and later as an Ophthalmic Assistant at Des Moines Eye Surgeons.
A long-time member of Windsor United Methodist Church in Windsor Heights, Iowa, Judi's faith and sense of community were important parts of her life. She found joy in daily lap swimming, traveling and cruising, playing table games, and antiquing. She was also an enthusiastic fan of Mah Jongg and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry; daughters Kasey (Andrew) Gilliam, Nicole (Patrick) Mullenix, and Elizabeth (Christopher) Bowles; grandchildren Maggie, Joe, Ella, Charlie, Courtney, Matthew, Cain, McCoy, and Ledger; and sisters Sue Sullivan and Doris Vanordstrand.
A visitation will be held in West Des Moines, IA on May 28th, 2025, at Hamilton's Westown Funeral Home. The internment will take place in Indianola, Iowa at a later date.
