Judith “Judy” Ann (Vossler) Herbstreit

With grateful hearts for a life beautifully lived, we celebrate the life of Judith “Judy” Ann (Vossler) Herbstreit, who peacefully entered the presence of her Lord in the early morning hours of July 12, 2026, at the age of 81.

Born on February 16, 1945, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Judy lived a life marked by unwavering faith, compassionate service, and deep love for her family. She was the beloved wife of Rick Herbstreit, a devoted mother to Lisa and Brian, a proud grandmother, cherished sister, trusted friend, and a blessing to everyone privileged to know her.

Judy devoted her career to caring for others as a compassionate nurse, a calling that reflected the kindness and servant’s heart she carried throughout her life. Whether she was caring for a patient, encouraging a friend, offering wise counsel, welcoming others into her home, or simply spending time with those she loved, Judy had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, valued, and deeply cared for.

Family was the greatest joy of her life. She treasured making memories together, especially on beach vacations where laughter, conversation, and time spent with loved ones became lasting gifts. She also found joy in reading, cultivating lifelong friendships, and being the kind of neighbor who was always ready with a warm smile, a listening ear, or a helping hand.

Above all, Judy loved the Lord Jesus Christ. Her faith was the foundation upon which she built her life. She demonstrated God’s love through quiet acts of kindness, steadfast encouragement, gentle strength, and a spirit of grace that touched countless lives. Her legacy is one of faithful love, humble service, and unwavering devotion to both God and family.

Judy is lovingly survived by her husband, Rick Herbstreit of Round Rock, Texas; her daughter, Lisa Herbstreit of Georgetown, Texas; her son, Brian (Christy) Herbstreit of Georgetown, Texas; her grandsons, Brett Herbstreit of Austin, Texas, and Trey Herbstreit of Santa Monica, California; her sister, Donna (Skip) Garrett of Douglasville, Georgia; and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Joyce (Buop) Vossler; her sister, Barb Hohweiler; and her brother, Don Vossler Jr.

Although her family grieves the loss of her earthly presence, they rejoice in the hope and promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. They find comfort in knowing she is now whole, at perfect peace, and forever in the presence of her Savior.

Our family is planning two celebrations of Judy’s life.

The first will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Brian & Christy’s home in Georgetown, Texas.

Later this fall, we hope family and friends will join us in Rick and Judy’s hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio, as we gather to celebrate Judy’s life, her legacy, and the many ways she touched each of us. Additional details will be shared soon.

Judy’s legacy will continue to live on through the faith she modeled, the family she cherished, the compassion she freely shared, and the countless lives she quietly touched. She will be profoundly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
