Juanita Hall Irwin passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 7, 2016.  She was born on October 23, 1930 in Copperas Cove, Texas to Ivy Irene Hughes and John Willis Hall.

Juanita met the love of her life, Lynn Rutherford Irwin and they were married on October 6.

Juanita and Lynn were long time business owners in Austin and resided in the Austin-Georgetown area throughout their lives.  After selling their business, Juanita became a successful securities broker.

When Juanita and Lynn finally got the last child out of the house they enjoyed traveling to New Mexico and enjoying time spent with one another.  Juanita was a fierce card player and did not like chit-chat while playing cards.  Her mantra was "a card laid is a card played" and she meant it.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents: John and Irene Hall and her husband, Lynn R. Irwin; her brothers: Johnnie Lee Hall, and James Willis Hall; her son, Billy Joe Buchanan; her son-in-law, Richard G. Wallace; and her grandson, Michael Wayne White.

Juanita is survived by her children: Betty White (Rick), daughter-in-law, Carolyn Buchanan, Larry Buchanan (Betsy), Shiela Jackson, Dianna Buchanan, Karen Preece (Gaylon), Sally Irwin Wallace, and BranDe Merriman. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  She loved them all.

Juanita and Lynn were lifetime founding members of the Georgetown Northside Church of Christ.

A memorial service will be at the Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown on Monday, December 12, 2016, at 11am.  The family would like to thank Hospice Austin and especially Shannon Wiseman (our angel) for providing such comfort to Juanita and allowing her to stay at home.
