Joshua Michael
Leedom
Apr 1, 1992 — Jun 22, 2026
Joshua Michael Leedom was born on April 1st, 1992, in Dothan, Alabama. He passed away on June 22nd, 2026, in Austin, Texas.
He graduated from Georgetown High School in 2010 and later earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Texas State University in 2014. Joshua was energetic and responsible, working at an early age as a shift manager for Pizza Hut while still in high school. He later worked for HEB at locations in San Marcos and Austin, as well as Austin Wine Merchants.
Joshua is remembered by family and friends for his vibrant and caring personality. His smile would light up any room he entered, and he always maintained a playful attitude for others. At the same time, he was a deeply caring person, always thinking about the lives and needs of others.
As part of the Millennial Generation, Joshua was actively interested in the state of American society, desiring that we should treat one another in a more honest and self-giving manner reflective of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. He also loved animals, particularly those rescued from shelters. His interests also included cooking and music. Despite having severe food allergies, Joshua could always be found in the kitchen experimenting with some new recipe or cooking technique. Learning to play the electric guitar in high school, Joshia later enjoyed being part of a local rock band that performed around the Austin and San Marcos areas.
Joshua always radiated love for others. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Melissa Leedom, brother and sister-in-law, Benjamin and Katherine Leedom, and niece and nephew, Felicity and Orion Leedom.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date this year for the convenience of family and friends who wish to honor Joshua’s life. In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation in his name to the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians or the Austin Humane Society.
