Joseph William Strain, 84, of Walburg, Texas passed away Tuesday, September 10,2024 at the Heart Hospital of Austin.

Joe was born in Galveston, Texas on March 25,1940 to the late John and Jackie Strain.

Joe and Wanda were united in marriage on April 23,1960 in Galveston.

Joe worked at Amoco Oil for 12 years, but was also an entrepreneur, owning and operating 2 businesses. But what he loved most was fishing!

He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on June 10,1954 and served as an elder in the Christian congregation for 50 years, 20 of which were in Honduras.

Joe is survived by his wife of 65 years, Wanda, and his daughters: Cheri Freeman and Gigi Kinsey, son-in-law Doug Kinsey and grandchildren: Joseph Rhoades (Grace), Toni Briggs (Jamie), Chase Kinsey, Levi Kinsey, and Travis Freeman as well as 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patricia.

A memorial service will be held September 22,2024 at 4 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Georgetown, Texas.
