Obituary

Joseph "Joe" Kosalko, 83, of Georgetown, Texas died on April 3rd, 2024, after an accident and month-long hospitalization at Ascension Seton Williams.  He was the loving husband to Gisela Kosalko during their 62-year marriage.

Joe was born in Hellertown, Pennsylvania in 1940 to immigrants from the country which is now known as Slovakia.  He graduated from Hellertown High School in 1958.  After a brief, stint in college, Joe joined the Army and worked as a technician in the signal corps.  He was a Vietnam Veteran and completed 22 years of service before retiring in 1982 as a Master Sergeant.  Later he worked in the computer industry for 20 years as a programmer and manager at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey.

Joe was the type of guy you would like after meeting him for the first time.  He thoroughly enjoyed life and was physically active all the way until his untimely death.  As an avid golfer, you could always find him playing weekly rounds of golf with his friends on the Sun City Golf Course.  He was proud to say that he could shoot his age in golf.

Joe will be sorely missed by his family and many golfing buddies.  He is predeceased by his siblings Johnny Kosalko, George Kosalko, and Rose Wild.  He is survived by Gisela Kosalko, Michael Kosalko (Cynthia), and sister Betty Meza of Quakertown, Pennsylvania.

A public funeral service will be held at the Ramsey Funeral Home, Georgetown, Texas on April 9th, 2024, at 1100 hours.  Later this month, he will be interred at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery during a small private ceremony.
