John Albert Ruiz, Sr., known as Jello, a native of Georgetown, Texas passed away on December 14, 2020.

The family will celebrate John's life on February 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home, 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78633.

John was born to Manuel Vasquez Ruiz, Jr. and Hernestina Chavez Ramirez on June 6, 1964 in Georgetown.  He married Jennifer Ann Weems on July 5, 2008 in Georgetown.

John was a man who was loved by many; always having lots of friends surrounding him.  Never one to speak anything but the truth, John never had to bite his tongue.  Because John was led by his natural instincts, he prayed a lot for others and for himself and he absorbed a lot in life from his life experiences.  He helped anyone who might have had even the slightest of need to those who needed much.  John was always true to the Cowboys and the Longhorns.  He loved to cook  for others and he loved to eat!  Most importantly, John was the best father to his own son, John, Jr., and he loved all the other kids in the family with his whole heart.

Preceding John in death were the following: daughter, Janessa Adriana Ruiz; son, Loren Adrian Ruiz; father, Manuel Vasquez Ruiz, Jr.; mother-in-law, Ada Catherine Lewis; niece Lauren Michelle Ruiz, grandparents: Manuel, Sr. and Josefina Ruiz and Louis and Taurina Montemayor.

Left to cherish John's memory are his: wife, Jennifer Ann Ruiz; son, John Albert Ruiz, Jr.; mom, Hernestina Chavez Ramirez and stepdad, C.D.  Ramirez; sister, Tammy and her husband, Mario Olguin; brother, Steven Ruiz and fiance Krystal Kasper; nieces:  Katina Renee Ruiz, Ashley Monique Pachicano, Samantha Mariah Olguin Pachicano, Crystal Michelle Pachicano; nephews: Paul Pachicano Jr,  Aaron Armando Ruiz, Steven Diego Ruiz, Thomas Vincent Ruiz and Robert Sydney Ruiz.
