John Edward
Chrysler
June 4, 1951 – May 3, 2026
John Edward Chrysler, born June 4, 1951, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and quiet strength that will never be forgotten. He passed on May 3, 2026, a month before his 75th birthday.
John was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Chrysler; his mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Chrysler; and his brothers, Robert Chrysler and Steven Chrysler. Their reunion is surely one of peace and joy.
He leaves behind the family he loved so deeply: his wife of 35 years, Debby Chrysler; his daughter, Dianna (Nicholas) Kotsianas; and his son, Brian Chrysler.
He is also survived by his sisters, Peggy Karavanich; and Joan (Bill) Beckman; his brother Timothy Chrysler; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
John dedicated over 50 years of his life to the masonry industry and spent nearly 30 years as the Executive Director of the Masonry Institute of America. Even after retiring in 2021, he remained active working as a consultant while also contributing his expertise to numerous committees.
But beyond his work, John was a man of incredible generosity. Over the course of his life, he was very involved in the church communities he was a part of. While in Liberty Hill, he served as treasurer of the Knights of Columbus and was an active member of the food pantry of his church, Santa Rosa de Lima Parish.
Anyone who met him could see the pride he took in his country. His patriotism wasn't just something he spoke about, it was something he lived every day. That was never more evident than in the 20-foot flagpole standing tall in his front yard (both in Palos Verdes and Liberty Hill), where the American flag waved proudly—a reflection of the deep love he had for his country.
John was a man of simple values - faith, family, country, and hard work. He loved deeply, gave selflessly, and lived humbly. His presence was steady, his love was constant, and his example will continue to guide those who knew him.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
