John D. Cassis, 87, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away at Ascension Seton Hospital on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.

John was a longtime business owner and area horse trainer. Previously, he had worked as a precision welder, a fireman, and as a sales rep for a major motorcycle company. He founded and operated a successful distribution company handling motorcycle parts and accessories. In recent years, he designed and manufactured pedal steel guitars.

He is survived by his wife Catherine, his son Billy, granddaughter Alicia Cassis, his brother Steve Cassis, and is predeceased by his first son, Robert Garrett Cassis.

He will be dearly missed but much relief comes from knowing he is now at peace.
