Joanne Hill passed away on August 27, 2025, in Georgetown, Texas, at the age of 83.

Joanne was born on June 19, 1942, in Boise, Idaho.  She graduated from Boise High School and enjoyed a long career in banking at Idaho First National Bank.  In her early years, Joanne cherished time spent at the family cabin in Cascade, Idaho. Later in life, she and her husband, Jim, enjoyed traveling in their motor home to favorite destinations of McCall, Idaho, and Yuma, Arizona.

Joanne was known for her love of dogs, tailgating at Boise State football games, and her many creative hobbies—including crocheting, scrapbooking, and cooking. She treasured time spent with friends and family.  Joanne also took great pride in her Basque heritage and was actively involved with the Basque Museum in Boise, Idaho.

She is survived by her sister, Julie Roberts.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Polly Marie and J. Douglas Hansen; husband, Jim Hill; and sisters, Nita Wilson, Diane Muma, and Holly Hitzemann.

Joanne will be missed and fondly remembered for her warmth, creativity, and love for family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 20 at 11:00 am at Santa Rosa Church in Andice, Texas. All who knew Joanne are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Georgetown Living, or the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Joanne Hill.
