Jimmy Leslie Johnson, 75, went home to be with Jesus on May 11, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Reba Johnson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Gwen Johnson, his son Jeff Johnson and his wife Leslie, and their two children Jared and Laura. He is also survived by his brothers Donovan and Randy and his sister Sigrid.

Jimmy's faith was the cornerstone of his life. He was actively involved in ministry for decades, serving across multiple churches in Austin. His professional talents as a CPA extended far beyond the office. He generously used his accounting skills to support various organizations, from local soccer clubs and chambers of commerce to the ministries he held dear. Jimmy and Gwen were a true team. They embarked on a successful 20-year journey running a retail herb and wellness store, a testament to their shared spirit of adventure and service.

Jimmy and Gwen were inseparable. Their love for square dancing blossomed as they twirled together for over 50 years, with Jimmy's voice often leading the way as a prolific caller. Together, they also explored the country in their RV, venturing from their Texas roots to the vibrant coasts of North Carolina and the majestic Grand Canyon.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Jimmy's life at Crestview Church (2300 Williams Dr., Georgetown, TX) in Georgetown on Friday, May 31st, at 10:00 AM.
