Jessie Gastelum, 68, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on October 15, 2021.
Jesse was born on September 5, 1953, in Fresno, California to Jesus and Clementina Ruelas Gastelum. He selflessly served in the United States Army, from 1974 until 1977, and then he continued to serve the country he loved in the National Guard until 2001. He retired as a Sergeant First Class.
Jessie married Erlinda Vasquez on May 14, 1977, in Temple, Texas. He was a man of service and worked with Homeland Security for 35 years. He was a U. S. Immigration and Customs Deportation Officer in El Centro, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Clementina Gastelum, and by Miguel Gastelum.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Erlinda Gastelum; daughter, Rachel Robertson and husband Deuce; sons, David Gastelum and Stephen Gastelum and wife Arleen; brother, Jose Gastelum; sister, Ruth Marquez; grandsons: Caleb Robertson and Luca Gastelum; granddaughters: Alyssa and Teri Robertson, and Aria and Luna Gastelum.
A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021 in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021 in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home. Following the service, the family invites you to join them for a reception in the Reception Hall of Ramsey Funeral Home from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m.

Mr. Gastelum will be laid to rest at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021 at Central Texas State Veteran Cemetery with Military Honors to be rendered by the United States Army.
