Jay
Prior
d. Jun 16, 2016
Jay went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 16th, 2016 surrounded by his family. Jay was born in Kerrville, Texas on September 17th, 1949 to Merle and Faye Prior.
Jay spent the early part of his life living in Bandera, TX before moving to Austin where he graduated for Lanier High School. After high school, Jay traveled to different rodeos where he rode bulls and bareback. He worked for Williamson County Sheriff's Department and Apple Computer for much of his life where he met many of his lifelong friends.
Jay was a loving husband, father, brother, son, and grandpa. He loved his family and he loved his Texas Longhorns. He grew up selling programs at Longhorn games and later worked in the press box at games for many years.
Jay never met a stranger and he made a huge impression on everybody that he met throughout his life. He was a kind and compassionate man who will always be remembered for the fun and joy he brought to everybody else's life.
Jay is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Linda, of Georgetown, TX; son, Matthew of Winters, Tx; daughter, Tricia Hall and her husband Jeff of Austin, TX; daughter, Mandy Wood and her husband Ryan of Pflugerville, TX; sister, Carolyn McEachern of Waco, TX; cousin, Jolynn Delonga of San Antonio; and grandkids: Grace Hall, Hunter Hall, and Caprice Hall of Austin, TX and Bryson Wood, Logan Wood, Gunner Wood, and Aubrey Wood of Pflugerville, TX.

Pallbearers for his services will include his three nephews: John McEachern, Greg McEachern, and Robert McEachern, as well as his lifelong friends: Rick Faught, Randy Traylor, and Matthew Lindemann.
A very special thanks goes out to the nurses and doctors at St David's Georgetown Hospital, especially Dr. Dominic Dekeratry and Dr. Esther Fields.
The family would like donations to be made to St. David's Georgetown Hospital Pulmonary Rehab.
