James Knight, 83, passed away on November 29, 2022

James Knight was born on July 15, 1939 in Georgetown, TX, to Ollie Knight and Ruby Knight. He graduated from Florence High School, and went into the Army for a short time. He met the love of his life, JoNell Knight while at Florence High School, and they were married on June 24, 1960. He worked his entire life in the appliance repair industry, working on large restaurant equipment, and many family member's appliances.

The couple had 4 children, Ronny Knight(Jan) of Bertram, TX, Greg Knight(Patti) of Georgetown,TX, Shari Knight(Scott) of Placitas,New Mexico, and Chris Knight(Roxanne) of Kosse, TX. He and JoNell also raised his niece, Lisa King Bage (Scott) of Hutto,TX.

He leaves behind a legacy of 13 wonderful grandchildren, and 15 amazing great-grandchildren.

James was best known for his love for God and his family, his big smile, as a fierce Texas Longhorn Fan, and avid golfer. He had an amazing green thumb, and he loved to read. He worked hard with his children in all their activities, FFA and 4H, baseball, gymnastics and many others.

James is preceded in death by His spouse, JoNell Knight, his parents, Ollie and Ruby Knight, his brother Derwood Thompson, sister Larue "Tency" Wheat, Sister Betty King, and brother Glen Knight.

The celebration of life for James Knight will be held on December 9, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Crestview Baptist Church in Georgetown Texas.

There will be a private burial at a later date.
