James Edward Crowder, age 55, of Orange, Texas passed away on November 1, 2018. He was born to J.W. and Shirley Ann (Birnie) Crowder on September 17, 1963 in the town of Cisco, Texas.
A Memorial Service will be held in James' honor at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018 in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home, 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78633. Ben Daniels, James' friend, will officiate.
During his years at Georgetown High School, James excelled at football and baseball. He had a great love for these sports throughout his life. He always enjoyed a good fishing trip and he had a special place in his heart for animals, especially cats.
James was employed by Motiva as a Plant Foreman in Port Arthur, Texas and belonged to the Pentecostal Church. James was a man of many talents, including master carpenter and pipe fitter among them.
Family was extremely important to James and we will miss him greatly.
James is survived by his wife, Rebecca Miller; parents, J.W. Crowder and Shirley Ann Crowder; sons: Brandon James Casanova and wife Jennifer, Logan and Kolton Zabodyn and granddaughter, Rylee Casanova; grandson, Cooper Casanova; sister, Roxanne Wade; brother, Donnie Crowder; nephews: Joshua Lieber, Dillon Kendrick and J.W. Scott Crowder; niece, McKall Crowder.
James' brother, Robert Scott Crowder preceded him in death.
The family has requested that memorials be made to an animal shelter of your choosing in James' memory.
