Jack Mercer, 79, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on Friday, January 17th, 2020.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate Jack's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2020 with a reception to follow in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home. 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78633.

After retiring as a self-employed Home Inspector in Dallas and Georgetown, Jack enjoyed BBQ'ing for his family and friends.  His Bright Smile and warm personality were well-known in Sun City  where he was The Fun. As a matter of fact, he was The Party!  On a more serious note, Jack was the guy who cared about what people did in Sun City and was always looking for ways he could contribute.  He was a community leader and a Patriot.  He enjoyed the Country Western Dance Club, the Solos Club and the Oldies but Goodies Club.  He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.  Jack served our country in the United States Navy.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe Mercer; and sister, Rosalie Henley.

Survivors include:  wife, Gina Mercer of Georgetown; daughters, Jami Byrd and her husband Franklin of Richardson, Texas, Jana Bell and her husband Rick of Richardson, Texas; grandsons: Blake, Grant and Chad Byrd; granddaughters, Nena Ballas and Haley Harwood and her husband Patrick; brother, Bill Mercer and his wife, Elanor; sister, Myrtle Billingsley.
