Obituary

** For those unable to attend, please us this link to access the live stream the family has provided, in partnership with Ramsey Funeral Home - In Memory of Ike Hausenfluke, Jr.

Ike M Hausenfluke, Jr. was born on September 17, 1951, in Georgetown, Texas to I M and Este Lee Hausenfluke. As a young man, he enjoyed hunting and fishing along his favorite spots up and down Berry's Creek. When he wasn't hunting or fishing, he was riding his horse, trying all sorts of tricks and showing off for anyone traveling Airport Road. Growing up, he attended the Florence Primitive Baptist Church where he was baptized.

Ike attended Georgetown High School and graduated in 1970. With his mother, Este Lee, being a well-known teacher in the district and having relatives all over town, Ike's adventures were always documented and reported back. Needless to say, he didn't get away with much. Through his many early adventures, Ike earned the nickname "Wildman" from his classmates and teammates. Ike loved the outdoors, but his favorite pastimes were playing football and pitching for the baseball team. You could often hear him brag about being on the only undefeated Georgetown Eagle football team.

After High School and a short stint at Central Texas College, Ike took up the grueling work of framing houses. With the experience Ike gained from framing, he and a couple of partners started building their own homes under the name Reville Homes. They built more than 800 quality homes in the Round Rock area in the 1980s. Ike was well known for being brutally honest with a quick-witted sense of humor, which served him well in his ventures.

Ike loved being a dad. He was strict but fair and ran a tight ship. His boys knew they were loved and that he was their number one fan. Ike was at every football, baseball, soccer, and basketball game standing on the sideline being heard by all who passed by. Later on, he loved hearing about how his grandkids did at their sporting events. Ike got a kick out of hearing his grandkids tell their stories about pushing their limits and the rules a little bit. He checked in regularly with his sons and never missed an opportunity to tell stories.

Ike is survived by three sons and eight grandchildren, Roep (Lori) of Heidenheimer; Jacob (Jennifer) of Poth and their 4 children, Allie, Lauren, Barret, and Lily; and Matthew (Katy) of Liberty Hill, and their 4 children, Christopher, Nathan, Addison, and Reagan. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Karen (Jerry) Winchester and Sara (Richard) Heizer; sister-in-law, Rosalie Hausenfluke, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, I M and Este Lee, and his older brother, Larry Hausenfluke.

Although he was a sentimental man, Ike's "Wildman" legacy and tales will live on through his family and anyone that knew him well.
