Ihor
Kim
March 23, 1995 – July 7, 2025
Ihor Kim, age 30, left this world far too soon on July 7, 2025, in Liberty Hill, Texas, USA. Ihor was a beloved son, husband, brother, and friend.
Ihor was born on March 23, 1995, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the eldest son of Sergey Kim and Viktoriia Shin. In early childhood, his family relocated to the village of Ptakhovka in Kherson region, Ukraine where he attended the local school from 2001 until his graduation in 2012. That same year, he enrolled at Kherson National Technical University, earning a master's degree in Software Engineering and System Software in 2019.
Ihor and his beloved wife Anna lived together in Kherson and Kyiv, Ukraine and in 2022 decided to move to the Republic of Korea, and a year later they settled in Austin, Texas. As a supervisor leading his own team, he was admired by his colleagues — always ready to support their professional ambitions and life's everyday challenges.
From a young age, Ihor practiced taekwondo and Muay Thai, delighted in singing and playing both the guitar and the accordion, and dreamed of earning a pilot's license and a skydiving license to fuel his adventurous spirit.
Ihor will always be remembered as someone who excelled at whatever he undertook. No matter the challenge, he found a way to see the bright side and share a hearty laugh. A positive, humorous, generous, and deeply thoughtful soul, he treasured his family and friends above all. With razor-sharp wit and a mind alive with humor, intelligence, and passion, he brought warmth and optimism to every situation. He was always ready to help, and his energy and kindness lifted everyone around him.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Kim; his mother, Viktoriia Shin; his father, Sergey Kim; his brother, Victor Kim; and many other family members and friends. His vibrant, dignified life will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
