Howard Charlie Chase passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at his home in Georgetown, Texas at the age of 86.

Howard was born on December 12, 1937 in Rice, Texas to Ishem Harrell Chase and Mary Pearl (Kizziar) Chase, and grew up in Ennis, Texas. He married Marilyn Johnson and had three children, Cristie, Cathie and Clayton, who were raised by their parents in the Baptist Church. He served in the Honor Guard with the Army, worked for the Railroad most of his life, owned a business with his brother at one point, and developed fencing gate hardware. Howard loved hunting, watching sports and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his three brothers and two sisters, his daughter, Cathie Chase, and his second wife, Betty Jean Chase.

He is survived by his daughter, Cristie (Chase) Montgomery of Georgetown and son-in-law Mike; his son, Clayton Chase of Round Rock and daughter-in-law Cathy; his 14 grandchildren, step grandchildren and spouses, Bradly and Shelley Montgomery, Christopher and Olivia Montgomery, Melissa and Will Cavanaugh, Amanda Montgomery, Samantha and Nathan Storch, Elise Jackson and her husband Kody, Teresa Ulcak, Andrew Ulcak and Caren Ulcak; and his 8 great-grandchildren, Theodore Montgomery, Ruby Montgomery, Avery Montgomery, Carter Montgomery, Kacie Cavanaugh, Micah Cavanaugh, Kinsey Cavanaugh and Noah Cavanaugh.
