Helena Nicole Thompson Aken was born December 22nd of Nineteen eighty eight to David Lee Thompson and Annette Joyce Burton Thompson in Richmond, Virginia.

Helena married Kaniela Aken January 1, 2011. Helena is survived by her four children: Noelani, Keanu, Kallen, and Hosea. Her mother, Annette Thompson, oldest sister & best friend, Anita Thomas, brother in law, Dave Thomas, niece, Tamika, beloved sissy, Brenda Thompson, the not so little brother, David Thompson, sister in law, Maricela Thompson, nieces: Avianna, Mercy, and Grace.

Helena lived a life of love and compassion towards everyone she met. She loved having fun with her children and making them laugh. She found great pleasure in singing songs and worship unto the Lord. Helena never met a stranger and made friends wherever she was. Helena enjoyed the long phone conversations with her siblings and always felt very close to them. Helena was thirteen years old when she was filled with the Holy Spirit, and fourteen when she was baptized in the wonderful name of Jesus.
