Harry Cortes, age 77, died peacefully at home in Jarrell, TX on October 2, 2025.
Mr. Cortes is survived by a wife, Judith. Nine children: Tammy, Judy, Tina , Melissa, Audra, Harry Jr., Idanes, Ivelisse, and Amy. He also leaves behind twenty-nine grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Harry was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served with the 101st Airborne Division and earned several medals, including a Purple Heart. He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and was raised in New York City. He was a long time resident of Austin, TX before moving recently to Jarrell, TX. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ines Santiago and brother, Emilio (Pito) Cortes.
An Inurnment will be held October 16, 2025 at 2pm at The Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. With heartfelt condolences, Cortes' family.
