Obituary

Glen Anthony Kiser, 79, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, at Seton Williamson Hospital. Born on April 23, 1945, in Elyria, Ohio, Glen was the beloved son of Earl John Kiser and Martha Lucile Huffman Kiser.

A proud graduate of Elyria Catholic High School in June 1963, Glen went on to serve his country as a Nuclear Weapons Specialist in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1967. On April 8, 1967, he married the love of his life, Jennifer Ann Riches Kiser, in London, England beginning a devoted partnership that spanned nearly six decades.

Glen built a successful career at IBM, where he worked for 30 years before retiring in 1998. Subsequently, he worked on computers and began insurance adjusting to keep himself busy. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Glen found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved astronomy, fishing, bowling, golfing, camping, and spending time at his cherished lake house. A skilled computer enthusiast and a devoted grandfather, Glen's greatest happiness came from time spent with his family, usually swimming, boating, or fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Kiser of Georgetown; his children: Matthew Kiser (Michelle) of Richardson, Wendy Smith (Chris) of Liberty Hill, Andrew Kiser (Noelle) of Killeen, and Suzanne Tanksley (Brian) of Round Rock; twelve grandchildren: Morgan Kiser, Zachary Kiser, Hannah Smith, Davis Smith, Patrick Kiser, Jared Kiser, Alexis Sandiford, Elijah Sandiford, Kara Kiser, Wayne Meadows, Connor Tanksley, and Madelyn Tanksley; two great-grandchildren: Evelyn Deleon Kiser and Spencer Woodard; his sister Martha Ann Flanigan of Elyria, Ohio; and nieces, nephews, and many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and two nephews.

A remembrance service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Father Steven will officiate the service.
