Germaine Dolores
Gaulin
October 8, 1933 – December 21, 2025
Germaine Dolores (Maurice) Gaulin, age 92, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home in Georgetown, Texas on December 21, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness and hospitalization.
Gerry, as she was known, was born on October 8, 1933, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. She was one of seven children to Wilfred and Marie-Jeanne Maurice, and was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Gerry grew up in Woonsocket, where she met and married the love of her life George Gaulin in 1952. After living in Cherry Point, North Carolina while George was serving in the Marine Corps, they returned to Woonsocket where they raised their family together.
She was a woman of strong faith, and a member of St. Agatha's Parish in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Andice, Texas. Gerry's French-Canadian heritage was deeply important to her, traditions she proudly carried with her upon moving to Texas in 2014, where she and George settled in the Sun City community. She loved dancing with George—especially waltzes and polkas—and no matter where they went, they could be seen first on the dance floor inspiring others to join in. She was vibrant, fun-loving, and always had a ready smile. She enjoyed listening to music and joining in playing wooden musical spoons, and loved to bake. A visit to Gerry's house always meant you would be warmly welcomed and well fed.
Above all else, Gerry was devoted to her family. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 73 years, George Gaulin; her daughters Trudy Trulove and Gloria Boisvert, and son-in-law Ronald Boisvert; her cherished grandchildren Andrea Rábago and husband Billy, Alyssa Garcia and husband Richard, Wesley Boisvert and wife Cassie, Scott Boisvert and wife Niki, and Katelyn Boisvert; her sweet great-grandchildren Elizabeth and Nicholas Garcia, and Macy and Jack Boisvert; several brother- and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Andice, Texas on January 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery and Prayer Gardens in Georgetown, Texas. A Celebration of Life honoring Gerry and a reception will follow at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas from 2-5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, suggested contributions in Gerry's memory include to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Hospitals for Children, Boys Town, or Wounded Warrior Project, or consider honoring her life with a plant or tree.
