Frieda May Ryden Davidson (nee Oertli), long-time Georgetown resident, passed peacefully in Forney, Texas on May 13, 2026. Frieda was predeceased by husband Everett R. Ryden, husband James A. Davidson, sons Everett Rodney Ryden, Jr. and Randall R. Ryden, twin brother Freddie R. Oertli, and sisters Genevieve Tart and Rosie Robinson. She is survived by daughter Karen D. James, son Robert R. Ryden, ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Her second marriage brought her stepsons James Davidson, Jr. and Dennis Davidson and stepdaughter Pam Davidson Martin, son-in-law Joe Martin and daughters-in-law Pam Davidson and Wanda Davidson.
Frieda was a devoted follower of Jesus, a notable peacemaker, prayer warrior, and Bible scholar. She was lovingly generous to friends and family, and supported her churches and various missionary endeavors with her love, time, money, prayers, and banana pudding. Over the years she engaged in several professions: secretary, executive secretary for the Texas University Interscholastic League, and with her husband Everett founded Bluebonnet-Ryden Printing and Office Supply in Austin.
A private family burial was held at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas. Please check back for the date and time of the Celebration of Life Memorial Service to be held in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home.
