Frankie Jo (Waller) Haynes, beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed from this life into eternal life on July 29, 2024. Frankie was born on February 26, 1932, in Greenville, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernice G. and Maggie Waller, her son Richard Wayne Haynes, her sister Dorothy Quick and her grandson Eric Lilley. She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Arthur D. Haynes, sister Betty Wyatt, and her children Debra Darlene Lilley, Kenneth Bradley Haynes (Cynthia), and Charles Russell Haynes (Mitzi). In addition, she is survived by her 12 grandchildren, Jerry Haynes, Kristie Bombara, Ashley Kurtz (Chad), Lindsey Carlile (Zachary), Brian Lilley (Vianca), Jonathan Lilley (Samantha), Lauren Lafitte (Ryan), Kellye Kypuros (Michael), Holly Gaskamp (Sam), Stacy Harris (Christopher), Matthew Haynes and her 18 great-grandchildren.
Frankie grew up in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Sunset High School in 1949. In her senior year of high school, she worked as counter help for a drugstore soda shop where she met the love of her life, Arthur "Art" Haynes. After graduating, she and Art were married on June 18, 1949. They gave birth to their first son on July 15, 1950, in Dallas where the couple resided. In addition to her roles as wife, mother and homemaker, Frankie also worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses. Art and Frankie eventually welcomed a daughter and two more sons to their family. After raising their children, Frankie later retired from Garrett Electronics in Garland, Texas.
Always beautiful and fashionable, Frankie loved shopping, outings with friends and family, painting, reading, playing games and traveling. She enjoyed many RV trips and cruise adventures to faraway places. She also enjoyed activities with her retirement community in Sun City, Texas. Frankie grew up in a faith-filled home and attended church her entire life.
She will be truly missed by her family and friends. Her warm smile will always be in their hearts.
