Obituary

Frank Wilson, 79, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on July 19, 2017 peacefully in his sleep.

Frank was born in Kokomo, Indiana on February 28th, 1938. He served honorably in our armed services, Army, from 1961 – 1963 with part of it in the militarized zone in Korea. Frank also attended Ball State, Indiana University, Mercy College in Detroit, and Purdue University over the years to grow a wealth of knowledge.


Frank was married to Barbara Wilson (Rose) on June 5th, 1971 in Fort Wayne, Indiana; they were married 46 years.


Mr. Wilson worked as a senior financial analyst for a United Technologies Automotive Inc. for 46 years in Zanesville, Ohio '71-73, Orleans, Indiana '73-81, Dearborn, Michigan '81-94, Honduras '94-96, Buena's Aires, Argentina '96, Juarez, Mexico '97, Detroit, Michigan '97-99, and Livonia, Michigan which he retired from in 2000. He also did early work at the Dana Corporation in Ft Wayne, Indiana '59-61, Town+Country Food '61-64, and Essex Wire Headquarters also of Ft Wayne '64-71. In his later years after retirement, he worked on temporary assignments for Lear Corp, with stints in Huntington, Indiana 2002, Traverse City, Michigan 2004, and in Cebu, Phillipines 2005.


Frank enjoyed traveling, woodworking, and working with his hands. He was a devoted member of St. Helens Catholic Church. He was also actively involved in the American Legion, the Woodworking club of Sun City, and the Computer Club of Sun City.


He is survived by his beloved wife and travel companion, Barbara Wilson.


Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Herschel and Audrey Wilson; as well as his sister, Eleanor Wilson


In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to The Lung Cancer Research Foundation, or a favorite charity of your choosing.


Frank Wilson will be available to visit and reflect with at the Our Lady of The Rosary Cemetery at a future date in their Butterfly Gardens. There are no services. We thank you for your understanding.
