Eugene Wesley Dowell, 83, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on October 21, 2026, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Ramsey Funeral Home, located at 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78633. His final resting place will be in Salem, Nebraska.

Eugene was born in November 1942 in Omaha, Nebraska, to Gene and LaVaughn Dowell. He grew up in Nebraska and attended the University of Nebraska.

Eugene proudly served in the United States Army Reserve and enjoyed a successful career in sales, working for Procter & Gamble and Coca-Cola.

An avid golfer, Eugene had a lifelong love for the game and enjoyed spending time on the golf course with his family. He also had a passion for traveling and shared many wonderful adventures around the world with his wife, Mary.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and LaVaughn Dowell, of Falls City, Nebraska.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Dowell; their children Wesley and Sarah Dowell; his daughter Wendy Dowell and her children, Ryan and Katlynn Dowell; his sister, Julie Andresen, and her children Dan and Annie Andresen.

Eugene will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
