Ernestina
Tovias
November 7, 1950 – May 30, 2024
Ernestina "Tina" Tobías, 73, of Liberty Hill, Texas, passed away on May 31, in Round Rock, Texas.
A resident of Liberty Hill for approximately 39 years, she was born on November 7th, 1950 in San Matías, Municipio de Jiménez, Coahuila, Mexico to Nolberto Tobías and Juana Carbajal. She was the youngest of 11 children.
She was a strong-willed and hardworking woman and mother who had a love for horses, goats, and all farm animals. Having grown up on a farm, she loved the farm life and never had a desire for the city life.
Every morning and throughout the day you knew she was home because you'd hear her listening to her "música norteña" and "música ranchera" full blast. In the evenings she liked watching her novelas. On weekends she loved going to family gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her ex-husband Tomás Loera; their infant son Inocente; her parents Nolberto Tobías and Juana Carbajal; brothers Felipe, Hermerejildo, Guadalupe, Victoriano, and Eduardo Tobías; and sisters Vicenta and Viviana Tobías. She is survived by her spouse José Montes; daughter Rosalva Loera of Liberty Hill; daughter Juana María Loera of Eagle Pass; son Silbestre Loera and wife Jessica of Georgetown; and grandchildren Adrian Villanueva; and Alexandra, Leonardo, and Elliana Loera; brother Magdaleno Tobías of Del Rio; brother Nolberto Tobías of Brownwood; sister Francisca Tobías of Jiménez, Coahuila, Mexico; numerous nieces and nephews and stepchildren.
