Emmanuel "Manny" R. Medeiros was born on July 19, 1938, on Maui to Julia and Manuel Medeiros. The youngest of nine siblings, Manny grew up as a "Maui boy" before heading to the mainland for college. After graduating from Seattle University, he joined the U.S. Army, where he served for 28 years. Manny retired as a Lieutenant Colonel, with postings in Germany, South Korea, Italy, Vietnam, and Japan.

He was married to Darlena (Hughes) for 62 years. Manny leaves behind his wife Darlena, two daughters-Medea Powell and Phaedra Seidel-grandchildren Michael, David, and Rachel, and numerous nieces and nephews. A devoted husband, father and friend, Manny will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

A visitation for Emmanuel will be held Friday, January 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Andice, Texas followed by the Rosary at 11:30 a.m., and Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m.

A reception will follow.
