Elise Hammons, 38, of Georgetown, passed away on May 14, 2022.  The Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday , May 23, 2022 in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home.

Elise loved life and spending time with family.  She would always look forward to family outings and some of her favorite times of year were the holidays, where she had the chance to decorate and the opportunity to spend quality time visiting with friends and family.

She loved to have fun, and was always up for a good time together with loved ones, playing games with kids in the family, playing dominos with the elders, or best of all sitting down to play Cards Against Humanity with her friends and family, which was guaranteed to get the group laughing together every time.

She had an affinity for automobiles and through some amazing feats of skill and noteworthy accomplishment, managed to rotate through them frequently without serious injury to herself or others.

Elise was a loving aunt who doted on her nieces and nephews at every opportunity; visiting, babysitting, playing with, and often spending time sitting down at the dinner table to get to know them individually, spending many hours and a tremendous amount of love and energy interacting with each of them and making them feel special.

As a professional, Elise was a talented graphic designer, having earned an Associate's Degree in the art from the Athem Institute in New Jersey.  She started her career at Clarion in Pennsylvania and transitioned to National Sign Plaza in Cedar Park when she made the move to Texas.  She was sought after for her talent and skills particularly with Adobe Creative Suite, which for many is like learning a foreign language.  If so, Elise spoke it fluently.

As a philanthropist, Elise evangelized for several charities.  She was a big proponent of "No-Mow November", supporting cancer, mental health awareness, and men's health. She supported "Project Semicolon", a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope to those who are struggling with mental health, suicide, self-injury, and addiction.  She even sported the semicolon tattoo.  She also supported "To Write Love on Her Arms" which brings awareness to mental health issues and suicide awareness.

Elise was a life-long lover of music and a talented musician, having dedicated significant time in learning to play several instruments including the piano, violin, cello, and trumpet, which she taught herself in order to play with the marching band.  She played cello with the Sussex County Youth Orchestra and had the good fortune to play at Carnegie Hall in New York City and with American Music Abroad in Europe.

She also loved all things Texas, including TexMex, rodeos, and country & western music and was thrilled to finally move to Texas to be closer to family in 2015.

Elise always had a smile for everyone and her generous heart was always looking to help people when she could.  She is survived by her mother and father, Randy and Joanne Hammons, her siblings Jeff and Leigh Hammons, Marc and Colette Hammons, and Craig and Tiffani Hammons, eight nieces and nephews and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.  Elise was a warm and welcoming soul who was treasured and loved and will be greatly missed by friends and family.
