With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Dorothy Jane Brower, on March 31, 2024 in Cedar Park, Texas. Dorothy was born to Julian Maynard and Letha Bell (Burdell) Hughey on October 31, 1946. Dorothy was a High School graduate who worked as a business owner throughout her career.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Edgar Hawkins Jr., and her parents, Julian Maynard and Letha Bell Hughey. She is survived by her sons Walter Lee Cantrell of Lockhart, Texas, Edward Dale Cantrell of Aransas Pass, Texas, and Paul Dalton Stewart Jr. of Lockhart, Texas, her brothers Albert Leo Maynard and wife Bonnie of Bertram, Texas, and William Pete Hughey and wife Donna of Weir, Texas, granddaughters Vatasha, Amanda Woodworth, Tiffany Cantrell of Leander, Texas, and Courtney Underbrink and husband Britton of Rockport, Texas, grandsons Walter Lee Cantrell Jr.,  Edward Dale Cantrell Jr. of Aransas, Texas, and Corey Stewart and wife Karlie of Anna, Texas, along with many great-grandchildren and many nieces. Dorothy will be missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held on April 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Bagdad Cemetery, 400 N Bagdad Rd, Leander, TX 78641. Pallbearers for the ceremony will include Corey Stewart, Marty Davis, Steven Taylor, DJ Cantrell, Jackie Woodworth, and Zach. The service offers an opportunity for family and friends to gather and honor Dorothy's memory during this time.
