Dolores Fabry, or Dorie as she preferred, age 89, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on September 21, 2026.

Funeral services and burial will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery, located at 330 Berry Lane in Georgetown, with Rev. Britt Hicks officiating. A celebration of Dorie's life will be held at 3:00 that afternoon in the chapel at Truewood, located at 4907 Williams Drive in Georgetown.

Dorie was born in Chicago, Illinois to John and Nada Blazevich on November 11, 1936. She was the first in her family to pursue higher education, graduating from Northern Illinois State College. Although she pursued many occupations throughout her life, she was most proud of her work as an elementary school teacher. She remained a learner and politically engaged throughout her life.

Dorie is survived by her son, John, her daughter-in-law, Jodi, and grandchildren Fay (Ilya, partner) and Samantha (Ludwin, husband).
