Dennis "Randy" Slauenwhite, 70, of McKinney, Texas passed away on November 21, 2019.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019 in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, Mr. Slauenwhite will be laid to rest at 1:00 p.m., with Military Honors, in Killeen, Texas at the Central Texas State Veteran Cemetery.
Randy was born to Conrad Clyde and Sybil Juanita (Wilson) Slauenwhite on January 19, 1949 in Greenville, South Carolina.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in Viet Nam from 1969-1970 and then again from 1971-1972. Randy served from 1967-1971 in total and was a Life Member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart S42 and a Bronze Star recipient.
Randy was Mason and an endowed member of Colorado Lodge 96 in Webberville, Texas. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was also a rattlesnake hunter!
Randy worked for TxDot in State Transportation for many years.
Preceding Randy in death were his parents, Clyde and Sybil Slauenwhite; brother, Albert Slauenwhite; son, Matthew Slavenwhite; grandson, Marcus Slauenwhite; granddaughter, Norma Slauenwhite.
Survivors include the following: sons, Michael (Suzanne) Slauenwhite of Smithville, Texas, Dennis R. Jr. (Heather) Slauenwhite of LaGrange, Texas; daughter, Sandra Slauenwhite of Elgin, Texas; daughter-in-law, Rachelle Slavenwhite of Midwest City, Oklahoma; brothers, Richard Slauenwhite and Conrad "Peanut" Slauenwhite; sister, Suzanne Slauenwhite (Russell) Ayers; grandsons: Brandon, Sean, Thomas, and Ryan Slauenwhite; granddaughter, Shyanne Slauenwhite; grandson, Taylor and granddaughter, Payton Slavenwhite; long-time friend, Maxine Lumpkin; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honored to serve as Pallbearers will be: Conrad "Peanut" Slauenwhite, Dennis Slauenwhite, Jr., Paul Reed, Jim Slauenwhite, and Gordon Grundy.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Brandon Slauenwhite, Sean Slauenwhite, Thomas Slauenwhite, Ryan Slauenwhite and Taylor Slavenwhite.
