Obituary

Dawn Michele Hildebrand, 49, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on Friday, June 4th, 2021.

A graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 10th at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas, with Pastor Mike O'Bannion of Hill Country Bible Church officiating.  A celebration of life event will be held on Friday, June 18th at Georgetown Chamber of Commerce from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Dawn was born on January 28, 1972, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to H. Kevin and Linda Whisted.  She received an associates in nursing from San Angelo State University, and began her career as a registered nurse, before completing her bachelors at the University of Oklahoma.  She married Devin L. Hildebrand on May 13, 1995, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Dawn spent the majority of her career as a labor and delivery nurse in Arizona, Oklahoma, and Texas.  She was a compassionate and caring nurse and found great joy in her career.

Dawn was a loving wife and best friend to her husband of twenty-six years and the world's best mother to her three children, who all adored her. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed daily devotionals, running, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was always there for family, friends, and strangers offering a listening ear to those in need, but never expecting anything in return.  Dawn saw the best in everyone and was a rainbow of hope in the bad times and a smile that chased the clouds away.

To cherish her memory, Dawn leaves behind her husband, Devin Hildebrand of Georgetown, Texas; daughter, Jessi Hildebrand of Austin, Texas; son, Austin Hildebrand of Galveston, Texas; daughter, Taylor Hildebrand of Austin, Texas; parents, H. Kevin and Linda Whisted of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother, Ryan Whisted of Moore, Oklahoma; and her grandmother, Janice Auernheimer of Aiken, South Carolina.

Dawn was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Richard "Dick" Auernheinmer; and paternal grandparents, Robert and Anne Whisted.
