Darla Jean Henderson

January 22, 1968 – July 26, 2026

Darla Jean Henderson, born January 22, 1968, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on July 26, 2026.

Darla shared 21 years of marriage with her husband, Charlie Henderson. Together, they built a life filled with family, memories, road trips, trips to the beach, and many meals prepared with love.

Darla enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending time at the beach. She also had a tremendous love for animals and especially adored her cats and her beloved dog, Roxy. They brought her great happiness and were very much a part of her family.

More than anything, Darla will be remembered for her heart. She was a giving and kind soul who consistently thought of others before herself. She cared deeply for the people she loved and had a way of making those around her feel cared for.

Darla was a loving stepmother to Charlie Henderson Jr. and his wife, Michelle Henderson; Andy Henderson and his wife, Kenzie Henderson. She was also a cherished step-grandmother to Brooklyn Henderson, Aurora Lucy, and Athena Lucy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Smith; her mother, Judy Smith; and her paternal grandparents, Everett and Eva Smith.

Darla is survived by her husband, Charlie Henderson; her sister, Debbie Stefanek, and brother-in-law, Darren Stefanek; her niece, Erica Stefanek; and her uncle, Everett Smith.

She also leaves behind her cousins Grady Smith and his wife, Mandi Smith, and their son, Levi Smith; and Chris Smith and his wife, Bonnie Smith, and their children, Christopher Smith and Victoria Smith.

Darla is also survived by Anna and Grant Cornett, who were not family by blood, but family by love and by choice. They held a special place in Darla and Charlie’s lives and were always considered part of their family.

Those fortunate enough to know Darla will remember her laughter, her generosity, her love of the beach and road trips, her devotion to her animals, and most of all, the kindness she showed to others.

At Darla’s wishes, no formal service will be held. Her family will honor and remember her privately.

Darla’s memory will live on in the people she loved, the animals she cherished, the kindness she gave so freely, and the countless memories she leaves behind
