Daniel Nicolas
Delenela
March 30, 1959 – March 2, 2026
Daniel Nicolas Delenela, beloved husband, father, mentor, and teacher, passed away peacefully surrounded by those who loved him. His life was shaped by deep faith, strength, and steadfast devotion to his family and community. Daniel lived with a trust in God that guided the way he loved, served, and encouraged others.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Ann; their daughter, Alexa Delenela; his daughters Randi Mercado and Heather Delenela; and his three grandchildren who filled his life with joy. He is also remembered by extended family and a wide community of students and families whose lives were strengthened by his guidance.
He founded Round Rock Karate Academy and built more than a school. He built a community rooted in discipline, respect, and encouragement. Having trained in martial arts for over 35 years, he achieved the rank and title of Grandmaster (Kwan Jang Nim) in Tang Soo Do, reflecting both his mastery of the art and his role as a teacher and leader.
His students were not just learners; they were part of a family he nurtured with patience, strength, and belief in their potential. His legacy will continue to live on in every life he strengthened and every lesson he imparted.
Those who knew Daniel will remember not only his presence and the calm steadiness of his faith, but also the humor and joy he brought into every room. He had a way of lightening heavy moments, offering a smile, small joke or song at just the right time. His life was marked by courage, integrity, and a love that lifted the people around him.
He will be deeply missed, beautifully honored, and forever loved.
