Daniel Arthur
Bryan
January 17, 1954 – January 21, 2026
Daniel Arthur Bryan, 72, passed away peacefully at his home in Georgetown, Texas on January 21, 2026, with his beloved wife Marci by his side.
Dan was born on January 17, 1954, in Dallas, Texas, to Glen Finley Bryan and Maxine Joy Bryan, both of whom preceded him in death. He shared a lifelong bond—and a birthday—with his twin brother, David Bryan. He is also survived by his cherished sister, Diana Foster.
Dan grew up in Garland, graduating from Garland High School in 1972 before earning his Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin in 1976. In 1977, he married his high school sweetheart, Marcia Annette Capp—known to all as Marci—cementing a devoted partnership that lasted over 50 years. After a couple of years in Houston, they eventually made their home and started their family in Georgetown, Texas.
Dan built a successful career over more than 30 years in pharmaceutical sales with AstraZeneca, work he genuinely loved. Known throughout Central Texas not only for his professionalism but for his Texas-sized friendliness, Dan took special joy in delivering Round Rock Donuts and barbecue to doctors and nurses—many of whom became lasting friends.
Above all else, Dan was a devoted family man. He loved Marci and his children as if they were the only things that mattered. His legacy of loyalty, hard work, and care lives on through his children, James Preston Bryan and his wife Erin Bryan, and Macy Ann Vierra and her husband Jordon Vierra. His legacy also lives in the hearts of his five grandchildren, Aiden, Brooks, and Grayson Bryan, and Jameson and Mercer Vierra, who brought him endless joy.
Dan was a natural storyteller with an incredible memory for long, detailed jokes—some he could recite decades after first hearing them. His big blue eyes and bright smile made everyone feel welcome. He was a passionate Texas Longhorns fan who traveled far and wide to witness legendary moments in football, basketball, and baseball, including national championships.
He was equally famous among friends and family for knowing the very best hole-in-the-wall food spots across Texas and making sure no one missed out. He loved golfing with friends, fishing of all kinds, and listening to music—especially oldies and country.
A devoted member of First United Methodist Church in Georgetown for more than 40 years, Dan's faith was a daily presence in his life. His Bible and devotionals were rarely far from his reach.
To his family, Dan was a steadfast and loyal husband, a sturdy father with high expectations and a playful spirit, and a grandfather whose humor was unmatched. His grandchildren proudly call him the funniest person they've ever known, and they love him dearly.
Dan's life was not loud, but it was full. The foundation he built through love and hard work continues in the lives of his children and grandchildren. He will be missed beyond words and remembered always.
The Celebration of Dan's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31st, 2026 at First United Methodist Church, Georgetown. You may view the live stream of the service at the following link:
