Curtis Dewaine Moore
November 30, 1977 – November 14, 2025
Curtis Dewaine Moore, 47, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on November 14, 2025. Born on November 30, 1977, in San Angelo, Texas, Curtis was the loving son of June Moore and the late Gary Moore, and the proud big brother of Lee Moore, his wife Lesleigh, and uncle to their son Laken and daughter Lane.
From childhood onward, Curtis was known for his caring heart and fiercely protective nature. He was especially proud of earning the rank of Eagle Scout—an achievement that reflected his character, leadership, and lifelong commitment to helping others.
On October 15, 2015, Curtis married the love of his life, Brandee Brunat. Together, they built a home full of devotion, laughter, and the unmistakable warmth that comes from two people who truly loved doing life together. His greatest joy was being a father to his son, Grant Moore, born on November 24, 2004. Curtis adored Grant and loved watching him grow, celebrating every milestone along the way.
Curtis worked hard throughout his life, serving in roles that matched his hands-on determination and integrity. His career included service as a Texas Peace Officer, cable installer, home builder, and fiberoptic engineer. No matter the job, Curtis approached it with grit, dedication, and pride.
Curtis had a gift for making people feel welcome. He loved hosting and entertaining, cooking, grilling, tending bar, and telling stories—many of which included colorful language, inappropriate themes, and roaring laughter. Mischievous and full of life, he was famous for his practical jokes and, with just the right amount of "liquid courage," his improvised reenactments of the movie Grease—a performance you never forgot once you saw it.
He never met a stranger; within minutes, Curtis could turn an introduction into a friendship. He was, simply put, a good guy—one of the very best—gone far too soon.
Curtis is survived by his beloved wife, Brandee Brunat; his son, Grant Moore; his mother, June Moore; and his brother, Lee Moore, along with Lee's wife Lesleigh, and their children, Laken and Lane.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gary Moore, and his grandparents, Curtis and Carolyn Kenney.
A public viewing will be held at noon on November 25, 2025, followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Ramsey Funeral Home and Crematorium, 5600 Williams Dr., Georgetown, TX 78633.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Curtis's remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Texas Humane Heroes,
an organization that reflects Curtis's lifelong love for animals.
