Connie Evarts Waggoner Walker Sowell passed away on September 13, 2024, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mike and Nancy Carson, in Holland, Texas. Connie was born on August 12, 1932, the second of three children to Stephen Gose and Ann Evarts (Martin) Waggoner in Wichita Falls, Texas. She attended Wichita Falls High but graduated from Bishop Manogue Catholic High School in Reno, Nevada. She met her husband Noble Weldon Walker in junior high. They later married in 1951, and they worked side by side in their family general contracting business Noble W. Walker, Co. She was a mother of four, grandmother of ten, and great grandmother of ten.

Connie said her greatest joy in life was raising her four children: Nancy, Cynthia, Stephen, and Edward. She was always there when they needed her most, offering support, wisdom, and an abundance of love. She greatly enjoyed preparing a feast for her family at Thanksgiving, as her skills in the kitchen were unmatched. She loved tap dancing, weaving, quilting, china painting, and embraced learning new things. In 1990 Connie partnered with her son Edward in the mini storage and car wash business. Throughout her life, she never lost her curiosity or attention to minute details. She had boundless energy and enjoyed working until her retirement at the age of 88.

Family was most important to Connie, and she always made sure to never miss a family celebration. She was deeply spiritual and drew strength from her faith, which guided her life. Connie's generosity was evident in the many causes and charities she supported over the years.

Connie was a member of the Robert Gilbert Livingston chapter of the DAR, as well as a member of the Waco chapter of the Mayflower Society, and direct descendant of Myles Standish. She was an active member of Women in Construction, the Leander Chamber of Commerce, and the Austin Pond Society.

Connie is survived by her children: Nancy (Mike) Carson, Cynthia (Judge Charles) Ramsay, Weldon Stephen (Tammy) Walker, and Noble Edward (Carol) Walker; as well as her grandchildren: Jennifer (Dr. Jack) Carsner and daughters: Lucy and Lily; Clint (Jessica) Carson and sons: Cade, Colt and Cash; Katie (Jay) Hartley; Brandon Bridges; Chauncey (Stacey) Walker and children: Hadleigh, Leighton and Asher; Chasity (Matthew) Hensley and children: Harper and Hayes; Brittany Walker; and Jeremy Walker (Rafael Salinas).

Connie was preceded in death by Noble Weldon Walker, Pent Lindgren, and Rugel Sowell. She is also preceded in death by her siblings: William Martin Waggoner and Carol Frances Waggoner Fisk; as well as her grandchildren: Lauren Marie Walker and Cameron Noble Walker.

Connie was an elegant lady with a beautiful smile. She had a positive influence on those around her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and her legacy will live on for generations to come.

A time of Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024, at The Worship Place with light refreshments. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Terry Goodnight officiating. A Graveside Service will follow at Cook Walden Capital Parks - Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
