Clarence D. Johnson, 92, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri, passed on January 19, 2026 at his home in Georgetown, Texas. He was the son of William and Emily (Lovejoy) Johnson, Atchison, KS.

He graduated from Potter High School and joined the United States Air Force being discharged as a Sgt. Clarence went on to work as a heavy equipment operator and retired from JE Dunn after 25 years.

He is survived by his wife Sonya Johnson, son Christopher (Kimberly) Johnson of Georgetown, Texas;

daughter in law RoseAnn Johnson Kyle, Texas; sister Barbara J. Sabol, Lawrence, Kansas; three nieces Deborah Churchill Kansas City, Missouri; Njeri Shomari and Frankie Foster-Davis Lawrence, Kansas; two grandsons Derek Johnson and Corbin (Rebecca) Johnston both from Texas along with many Great and Great Great nieces and nephews.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, two sons Sterling Johnson and Mark Johnson; three sisters Hazel Churchill, Precious Irma Herron and Helen Johnson and one brother John Johnson.
