Christopher "Flako" Louis Canales
September 5, 1990 – October 8, 2026
Christopher “Flako” Louis Canales, 36, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
Originally from Liberty Hill, Texas, Christopher was known to family and friends as Flako. He had a deep love for music, which was a big part of his life. A talented musician, he enjoyed playing the drums and bass guitar. Music brought him happiness and was one of the many ways he expressed himself. He was also a devoted fan of the Las Vegas Raiders, proudly supporting his team.
But beyond his love of music and football, Flako loved people. Throughout his life, he came to know countless people, making friends and building connections wherever life took him. He enjoyed the company of others, and his wide circle of family and friends was a reflection of just how many lives he touched along the way.
Flako's life was not without its challenges. He faced battles throughout his 36 years, but there was so much more to his life than the struggles he endured. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories, friendships, laughter, and music that will continue to bring comfort to those who loved him.
Christopher is survived by his mother, Dora Quinones; father, Christopher Rene Canales; sisters, Patricia Canales and Jacquelyn Garcia; brother, Joshua Quinones; maternal grandparents, Gabriel and Herminia Hernandez; aunts and uncles, Mike and Geneva Curik, Fernando and Sue Hernandez, David and Grace Hernandez, and Linda Hernandez; along with numerous cousins, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Rafael Quinones, who played an important role in raising him; his maternal great-grandparents, Louis and Taurina Montemayor; and his aunt, Josie Bustillos.
