Cheyenne Lynn Mather
"Chey-nee Lee"
August 23, 1973- December 24, 2021
OUR NUMBER ONE ALL AROUND COWGIRL, BLESSED us with an amazing 48 years here on earth. SHE WAS A GOLDEN THREAD THAT COMPLETED OUR FAMILY. She was BEAUTIFUL, COURAGEOUS & A WILD SPIRIT. She was so very TALENTED, CREATIVE & OUTSPOKEN!! Cheyenne was known for shooting it straight from the hip, however she typically meant no harm. She was a beautiful person inside & out, with her bright bold colorful hair & gray piercing eyes. She always had a smile from ear to ear. She was an amazing artist & enjoyed making beautiful works of art & gifts for people.
When Cheyenne was a baby, she loved to run wild in her RED cowgirl boots, black hat, & diaper playing in the dirt. Cheyenne began her passion of riding & love for horses at the young age of 3. That same year she won her first playday ribbon, & was so excited! This is where it all began- her first ribbon turned into many trophies, buckles & saddles. Throughout her Rodeo days she gained many lifelong friendships which have turned into family. She loved you all endlessly. Cheyenne was very competitive. In her high school days, she participated in Rodeo, cheerleading, basketball, volleyball, track, FFA, & was on the horse judging team. From there she moved up to College Rodeo at Uvalde Junior Rodeo College then transferred to Tarleton State Rodeo Team.
In 1999 God BLESSED her with a miracle…her son, CIMARRON BLAZE RUCKER, he was her Number One & her ENTIRE WORLD. "Cone head and all" Cheyenne said he was absolutely PERFECT!! She was so PROUD to be his MAMA!!
She continued her Rodeo passion & dedicated her life to guide Cimarron into the amazing life of being an ALL-AROUND COWBOY!! You couldn't have a Louder or Prouder Mama then she was to him. Another passion was teaching others her way to Rodeo & do COWGIRL SHIT!! Cheyenne could be hard on herself mostly & others at times to prove her point, but she never lost compassion & love for others.
Everyone knew NOT TO DARE MESS with the ones she LOVED or there would be a BIG PRICE to pay!! ESPECIALLY WHEN IT CAME TO CIMM'R HER SON, HER LITTLE BROTHER CHEYLOH JESSE JAMES, HER TWO SISTERS CHISHOLM NEAL, CHEROKEE DAWN, HER DEAR MAMA "CRAZY CONNIE" and her DADDY "JOHNNY LEE HARPER" as Cheyenne would often times joke and call them!! Her WHOLE FAMILY was her life and she LOVED them with ALL she had!!
She was born a COWGIRL & died a COWGIRL!!
We are at PEACE knowing she is in HEAVEN with JESUS & her beloved babies. Cheyenne made a huge impression and impact on this world and she will FOREVER BE IN OUR HEARTS AND WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!
Our hearts are in a million pieces and forever shattered & our FAMILY will never be the same without her. However, Cheyenne would want us to be STRONG, PULL UP OUR BOOTS & CELEBRATE the Amazing time we all had together & CHERISH the precious memories we made. As she would say Cowgirls don't cry!!
